I recently had a very unsatisfactory aircon servicing by AireControl Aircon Servicing Company. Fellow Singaporeans, please be wary of them. TL;DR, not only do they charge more than their initial quote, the problem resurfaces within a month, and they won't fix it. I booked their services, and was quoted SGD42.80, but charged SGD64.20. If that was all there was to it, it wouldn't have been a big deal. However, what was most shocking was that despite overcharging me, claiming this additional problem and that additional problem, they still were not able to fix the main problem. The problem resurfaced within less than a month! I politely requested for them to investigate, but their reaction was downright rude and unprofessional. They called me multiple times despite me explaining that "I can't talk now, call me back in a few hours or email me." The response? "I can't email because my boss isn't in office" (dafoq?). The person who contacted me, who did not even introduce themselves, insisted that I had an appointment on monday 1pm (which I did not book). I tried explaining to her that I have never booked this appointment, nor was I available at that time. The reply was "oh my supervisor told me to book this appointment". Seriously... It doesn't take half a brain to know that you should check with people before making appointments... ._. Lessons learned: 1. Always think twice about companies that charge more than the quoted amount. You may pity the technician who puts on a pitiful act after he came all the way to your place, or simply want to get the servicing over and done with, but it is a SCAM. 2. Don't trust a company just because it has the TrustSG logo. Always double check with other sources (word of mouth from friends, online forums, etc). Pro tip: Google is your lord and saviour. I really hope to resolve this amicably, and either get a full refund or the literally hawt aircon fixed, but I will sue if I have to. All of this takes a long time to describe, but it happened in the length of time it takes for a human to attempt (and fail) to repair an aircon. UPDATE 7/9/2016
On 7/9/2016, they have responded to my post. A snapshot of the reply can be found here: http://puu.sh/r30jR/a4869efb45.png They have not replied to my email dated 30/8/2016, nor did they even make any mention of plans to rectify my problems, which I have been attempting to contact them about since 25/8/2016. Their reply was but a demand to remove my erroneous statement within the next 5 working days, or face legal action. (You want me to react within 5 working days, but you can't even give me a half decent reply within two weeks?!) I have mistakenly confused TrustSG with CaseTrust, and have made an error in my post. For that, I would like to apologise to my readers. As such, without prejudice, I hereby retract my erroneous statements that "they are not TrustSG accredited", and have removed it from my post. AireControl Aircon Servicing Company is, in fact, TrustSG accredited. In the interim, all of my rights remain reserved. ...I still don't trust them to repair my aircon though. In fact, I gave up on trying to get them to repair my aircon and bought a new fan today... I know I have quite a few fans, but none of you blow as much as my new fan x'D. Also I still want a refund.
