Roles: Damage Dealer Difficulty: Normal Overview: Richie is an artificer who creates his own unique magical items. His skills vary depending on his equipped item. Switch between any of your five artifacts with "Item Creation", and utilise their abilities with "Item Innate Blast" or "Item Auxiliary Ability". You may also detonate your item for massive power. Advantages: + Largest variety of skills available; adaptable to almost any situation. Disadvantages: - Heavily reliant on his own items; unable to use skills without them. - Items lost upon getting knocked down or grabbed. Traits: + Weapon Expertise: Normal attack delay -1TU when equipped with any weapon. Richie is familiar with all sorts of items, and can wield them with greater proficiency. - Weapon Withdrawal Syndrome: Normal attack delay +1TU when unarmed. Richie has become too dependent on items, and is not used to fighting without them. Skills: Item Creation (12% MP) Input method: D + J + A Creates one of your five signature items, which are required for your skills. Follow up with another key combination to choose your item, or D+J+A again to cancel. Items: D+^+J: Hellfire Scythe - Incinerate your foes with the destructive power of fire. D+v+J: Gaia's Club - Crush your opponents with the natural power of the earth. D+^+A: Wind God's Knife - Make quick work of enemies with the swift power of air. D+v+A: Holy Water - Harness the utility of the power of water. D+>+A: Spirit Sword - Draw upon the power of your spirit. Item Innate Blast (15% MP) Input method: D + > + A Fires a blast of energy from your item. Hellfire Scythe: "Fireball" A ball of fire which burns enemies. Gaia's Club: "Earth Blast" A blast with the power of the earth. Cannot be deflected or defended against. Wind God's Knife: "Wind Blade" A short ranged, but powerful blast of wind. Holy Water: "Cold Blast" Water so cold, it freezes enemies. Spirit Sword: "Spirit Blast" Fires a spread of three spirit blasts with reduced range. Item Auxiliary Ability (30% MP) Input method: D + > + J Uses an ability unique to your equipped item. If an orb is held, activates it without consuming it. Hellfire Scythe: "Devil's Judgement" Devils will chase your enemies. Gaia's Club: "Rockfall" A rock drops from the sky to land in front of you. Wind God's Knife: "Wind Palm" Strike distant enemies with the unseen force of the wind. Holy Water: "Pursuant Blast" A homing ball of condensed water which seeks out an enemy. Spirit Sword: "Spirit Shield" Create a magical shield that deflects most incoming attacks. Detonate! (40% MP) Input method: D + v + J Overload your item with massive amounts of mana and unleash its full power. The item is destroyed in the process. If an orb is held, consumes it to double the effect. Hellfire Scythe: "Explosion" Explodes the Hellfire Scythe to deal heavy damage to nearby enemies. BOOM! Gaia's Club: "Heavenly Meteor's Descent" Three meteors descend in front of you. Wind God's Knife: "Northern Whirlwind" A cold whirlwind that chills your enemies. Holy Water: "Judgement of Goddess" Powerful magic that heals allies and damages enemies. Spirit Sword: "Spirit Bomb" Fires a huge ball in front. Strafe (15% MP) Input method: D + v + A Hits an opponent thrice at close range. May be used even when unarmed. The final hit is stronger if a weapon is equipped. Last Word (A + J) - Ultimate Weapon Create the most powerful weapon with the power of five elements. Weapon Skills: Ultimate Laser (D + > + A) - Shoots a fat, powerful laser. Ultimate Chasing Blasts (D + > + J) - Shoots five homing balls. Detonate! (D + v + J) - Detonate the weapon. Item specific skills: Richie may gain new skills from various items he picks up. Note: Anything with "D + > + A" costs 15% MP, "D + > + J" costs 30% MP, and "D + v + J" costs 40% MP and destroys your weapon. Bat of Bats: Bat's Laser (D + > + A): Fires a laser, just like Bat. Bat Swarm (D + > + J): Summons a swarm bats. Detonate! "Greater Bat Swarm" (D+v+J): Summons a larger swarm of bats. Magic Boomerang: Energy Blast (D + > + A): A blast of energy is fired straight ahead. Double Energy Blast (D + > + J): Not one, but two blasts of energy! Detonate! "Twin Energy Disks" (D + v + J): A pair of energy disks are thrown at the enemies. Beer or Molotov Cocktail: Flame -Short Range- (D+>+A): Ignites some of the flammable liquid to burn enemies at short range. Flame -Long Range- (D+>+J): Ignites some of the flammable liquid to burn enemies at long range. Detonate! "Explosion" (D + v + J): Ignites the entire contents of the bottle and cause a fiery explosion. Boomerang (normal): Detonate! "Power Spin" (D + v + J): Throws the boomerang, spinning it with such great speed that it resembles a disk. Cursed Scythe: Skull Blasts (D + > + A): Summons a skull which pursues enemies. Double Skull Blasts (D + > + J): Summons two skulls which pursue enemies. Detonate! "Cursed Explosions" (D + v + J): Creates an explosion to your front and back. Be careful, these explosions can hurt allies! Freeze's Sword: Ice Blast (D + > + A): Freeze's "Ice Blast" skill. Detonate! "Whirlwind" (D + v + J): Detonate the sword to use Freeze's "Whirlwind" skill. Tips: * When creating a new item, your current item is lost. Consider throwing it at an enemy or detonating it before producing your next item. * Try to avoid getting hit, as your items are lost upon getting knocked down or grabbed. * Certain artifacts may be more effective than others in some situations. Consider switching your items to adapt to your current circumstances. * The rocks and meteors created by Gaia's Club's "Rockfall" and "Heavenly Meteor's Descent" may be used by allies. * When unarmed, if all hits of "Strafe" connect, the enemy will be sent into DoP and can be grabbed. When grabbed, they will drop their weapon (if any), allowing you to take it. Trivia: Richie's five artifacts are based on the five elements of Wicca: fire, earth, air, water, and spirit. "Heavenly Meteor's Descent" is a reference to the earth-style forbidden spell of the same name from the novel "Coiling Dragon" (盘龙). "Judgement of Goddess" is a reference to a healer's lv. 60 skill of the same name from the game "Lunia". The sound effects for "Item Creation" and "Detonate!" are sound effects from succeeding and failing item fortification in Lunia. Richie would be rich if only he could sell his artifacts; unfortunately, they are usable by only himself, and disappear shortly after leaving his hands. |
